Salma Hayek Covers Vogue Deutsch
Majestic September 2012
Article first published as Salma Hayek For Vogue Deutsch on Technorati.
Just in time to promote Savages, as it premieres in mid September in Europe… the incredibly gorgeous and sensual mother of Valentina Paloma Pinault and wife of French billionaire and PPR CEO François-Henri Pinault covers the September issue of Vogue Deutsch. Photographed by Alexi Lubomirski, Salma Hayek properly wears an stunning Gucci dress – part of her husband’s multinational holding company – looking stylish, beautiful and very regal. An interesting choice for the magazine that normally goes for super-models, – specially for the most important issue of the year – but occasionally falls for Hollywood superstars as an exciting twist that seems to be pretty appropriate for this occasion, as the latin superstar and red carpet queen looks sensually and stylishly majestic on this shoot…. Very Vogue.
The actress has been making a lot of fashion headlines lately as a major front-rower of the most important shows of every season that include Balenciaga, Stella McCartney, Gucci, Bottega Veneta, YSL and Alexander McQueen – all part of the Luxury Sector Strategy of PPR -, which makes her a proper choice for the premiere fashion magazine and off course a fashion obsession of a lot of fashion connoisseurs – including me, I am obsessed with her -.
Inside the magazine, Ingrid Sischy makes a profile of the actress on an interview that focuses on her role as drug Baroness Elena but covers the most important moments of the dramatic, varied and multi-dimensional life of the Mexico-born daughter of a Mexican opera singer and a Lebanese-Mexican businessman… Salma Hayek Jiménez Valgarma. “Her rise from Mexican soap opera star to Hollywood star was just the beginning. Hayek, who now lives in Paris, is a mother, wife of billionaire, UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, activist against domestic violence, producer and entrepreneur. And just when it looked as though her film career stuck in a predictable pattern of mass-friendly comedies, she astounded at Savages – release date: 11 10 in Germany -, Oliver Stone’s film adaptation of Don Winslow’s bestseller The Hunter, with its embodiment of as pitilessly cruel as heartbreaking loving drug Baroness Elena”.
